Pepperoni Roll

This Pizza Roll I found on Pinterest was a huge hit! I found it over at http://whataboutpie.blogspot.com/2010/10/pepperoni-rolls.html.

3 Loaves Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough
1 packages Pepperoni
2 Cups Mozzarella
1 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Italian Seasoning
3 Tbs Olive Oil
Garlic Powder
3 Tbsp Melter Butter
1 Jar Marinara Sauce

Loosely cover the frozen bread dough with plastic wrap. Allow dough to thaw for a few hours at room temperature. Roll dough out to approximately 11 x 11 square. One frozen dough log makes one pepperoni roll. Brush dough with olive oil, lay pepperoni on dough covering entire surface.  Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese & shredded Parmesan cheese. Lightly sprinkle with Italian Herbs, (dried oregano, parsley and basil) a little goes a long way. Sprinkle garlic powder over the cheese. Roll up dough starting at one edge of square. Place rolls on baking sheet, leaving space between. Brush melted butter on top of uncooked pepperoni roll. Bake at 375  degrees for 15-25 minutes. They will rise in the oven perfectly. When done, top of roll should be golden brown and you should be able to make a tapping sound on the crust with your fingernail, allow pepperoni roll to cool before serving. Dip in your favorite marinara sauce.

Sausage Pizza Loaf

I got this off of my friend Elizabeth's blog and the whole family loved it.

1 lb bulk Italian sausage

1/4 cup each chopped red onion, red pepper, green pepper, and olives

2 packages (6 1/2 ounces each) pizza crust mix

1 cup (4 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup chopped pepperoni

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion, and peppers over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain.

Combine crust mixes; prepare according to package directions. With greased fingers, press onto the bottom of a greased 15-in x 10-in x 1-in baking pan. Combine the sausage mixture, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, olives and egg; spread over dough to within 1/2 inch of the edges.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, oregano and garlic powder. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with the long side; pinch seams to seal. Arrange seam side down on pan and shape into a crescent. Bake at 400F for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Yields: 15 servings

This recipe has no sauce in it so I heated up some spaghetti sauce and we dipped our pieces into it.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

When I made this a couple of weeks ago I used whole wheat flour for the dough.
It was yummo!!!

Pizza Dough:

1 Cup warm water

2 Teaspoons Yeast

1 Tbsp Sugar

1 Teaspoon Salt

2 Tbsp Oil

2-3 Cups Flour

Put water in bowl, mix in yeast and let stand for 5 minutes. Add all ingredients except flour and mix. Add the flour a half cup at a time until it's not sticky. Spread on a stone or greased baking sheet.

The Pizza:

1 Roasted Chicken
1/2 lb bacon cooked & crumbled
1 med onion finely diced
1 bottle BBQ sauce.
2 cups shredded cheese

Pull chicken meat off the bones and shred. Fry bacon until almost crispy then add onion to saute until bacon is done. Mix with shredded chicken. Pour half bottle of BBQ sauce over meat and mix well. Poor remaining BBQ sauce on the spread dough for the sauce. Add 1 cup cheese on top of sauce. Put meat mixture on top. Top with cheese and bake at 325 for 17 minutes.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

We got together with some friends the other night and we ordered pizza, and we had the most delicious pizza. As I was eating it I thought to myself this would be pretty easy to make, especially if you used some shortcuts, and sure enough it's a quick but yummy meal, I like mine with Onions on it, the one we had originally didn't have onions, but it adds another level of flavor to the pizza. Hope you enjoy it!

1 Boboli Pizza Crust
1 Bottle BBQ sause
2 C. Shredded Chicken or 1 large can cooked chicken
1/2 C. Crumbled Bacon (The costco pre-cooked stuff works great)
1 can Pineapple Tidbits
2 C. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Top the Pizza crust with BBQ sauce, then ingredients ending with the cheese. Bake in oven at 450 for 8 minutes.

Optional ingredients: Sliced Onions
